Author Guidelines

IJRGP welcomes original research, reviews, case studies and short communications across disciplines. These publisher-level Author Guidelines apply to all journals under the IJRGP imprint unless a specific journal home page states a clear exception. Follow these instructions carefully to ensure a smooth editorial and peer-review process and to maximise discoverability and indexing readiness. Submit Manuscript →

General Manuscript Structure & Required Elements

  1. Title Page
    • Full title (concise, informative).
    • Running title (≤60 characters).
    • Author names and affiliations (full institutional addresses).
    • Corresponding author: name, email, ORCID iD, postal address, telephone.
    • Short author contributions statement (see CRediT taxonomy below).
    • Funding statement and grant numbers (if applicable).
  2. Abstract (on main manuscript file)
    • Structured (Background / Methods / Results / Conclusions) for research articles (200–300 words).
    • Unstructured abstract allowed for commentary and short formats (100–200 words).
    • 4–8 keywords (use MeSH or discipline-appropriate terms where relevant).
  3. Main Text
    • Suggested headings: Introduction; Methods; Results; Discussion; Conclusions. Use subheadings where helpful.
    • Methods must be described with sufficient detail for reproducibility. Include software versions and statistical packages.
  4. Acknowledgements (if any)
    • Contributions, non-author assistance, institutional support.
  5. Declarations
    • Conflicts of interest / Competing interests statement.
    • Ethics approval and consent to participate (for human/animal studies).
    • Consent for publication (where relevant).
  6. References
    • Use APA 7th Edition (author–date) as the publisher’s default reference style. Examples below.
  7. Figures & Tables
    • Figures and tables must be cited in the text in order. Provide high-resolution figure files and editable table data (XLSX or CSV).
  8. Supplementary Material (optional)
    • Appendices, datasets, extended methods, code — clearly labelled and submitted as separate files. Include a short description in the manuscript.

Reference Style — APA (examples)

• Journal article: Smith, J. A., & Doe, R. (2020). Title of article. Journal Name, 12(3), 123–135. https://doi.org/xx.xxxx/xxxx
• Book: Brown, L. (2018). Title of book (2nd ed.). Publisher.
• Chapter: Lee, P. (2017). Chapter title. In S. Kumar (Ed.), Book title (pp. 45–67). Publisher.

File Types & Formatting Requirements

  • Figures: JPG or PNG (≥300 dpi for color/greyscale; >600 dpi for line art).
  • Tables: Editable tables within DOCX; also supply XLSX.
  • Supplementary materials: PDF, XLSX, CSV, TXT.
  • Maximum individual file size: 20 MB (contact editorial@ijrgp.com for larger datasets)

Figures, Tables & Legends

  • Include clear, self-contained figure legends. Legends should describe all abbreviations and statistical annotations.
  • Colour figures are permitted; ensure figures remain legible if printed in greyscale.
  • Tables should be numbered consecutively and include concise titles. Large tables are better supplied as supplementary files.

Authorship, Contributions & CRediT

All authors must meet standard authorship criteria. We request a brief author contribution statement using the CRediT taxonomy (examples): Conceptualization, Methodology, Data Curation, Formal Analysis, Writing — Original Draft, Writing — Review & Editing, Supervision, Funding Acquisition. The corresponding author confirms that all listed authors approve the manuscript and its submission.

CRediT Role Example (optional)
ConceptualizationDefining research questions, hypotheses
MethodologyDesigning methods, protocols
Data CurationOrganizing and validating datasets
Formal AnalysisStatistical testing and interpretation
Writing — Original DraftInitial manuscript writing
Writing — Review & EditingCritical revision and editing
SupervisionProject oversight and guidance
Funding AcquisitionSecuring financial support

ORCID & Author Identifiers

We require the corresponding author to provide an ORCID iD. All authors are strongly encouraged to include ORCID iDs to improve discoverability and editorial verification.

Ethical Standards & Plagiarism Screening

By submitting, authors confirm that the manuscript is original, not under consideration elsewhere, and free of plagiarism. Manuscripts undergo editorial checks and may be screened by plagiarism-detection tools. For human or animal studies, provide ethics committee approval numbers and statements of informed consent where applicable.

Preprints & Prior Publication

IJRGP permits submission of manuscripts previously posted to non-commercial preprint servers (e.g., arXiv, bioRxiv); authors must disclose any preprint at submission and provide the preprint DOI/URL. Material previously published in full elsewhere (including conference proceedings that are substantially identical) is not acceptable.

Fees, APCs & Waivers

Authors must consult the publisher APC & Waiver Policy for fees, payment procedures, and waiver eligibility. No fee is due at the time of initial submission unless explicitly stated.

Peer Review & Revision Expectations

Manuscripts undergo an initial editorial screening for fit and compliance. Suitable manuscripts are sent to independent peer reviewers. IJRGP uses single/double-blind review per journal policy (see Policies → Peer Review & Editorial Process).

Typical timeline: initial decision within 0–2 days for desk rejections; full peer review 2–4 days depending on reviewer availability. Authors should respond to revision requests with a point-by-point response and a revised manuscript highlighting changes.

Corrections, Retractions & Complaints

IJRGP follows COPE guidelines for corrections, expressions of concern, and retractions. Policies and procedures are detailed under Publisher Policies → Publication Ethics & Misconduct . Authors may contact editorial@ijrgp.com to report errors or file appeals.
